You have to go to your bank's web site and download the transactions, then import that into Money. Then found out it doesn't connect to the bank. Money - » Imported my Quicken info with no problems. Contacted their support and they've been attempting to assist, but so far no solution. Money Well crashed every time I attempted to import my Quicken info. Couldn't find anything in their support forums about this issue.

Contacted their support about the duplicate transaction issue, but so far haven't heard anything back from them. Imported my Quicken info with no problems, but when I had it connect to my bank it added a bunch of duplicate transactions which threw my balance WAY off. Was a little tricky doing the first reconcile, but got it figured out with a post I found in their support forums. It imported my Quicken info without a problem, and no problems connecting to my bank.

Continually, habitually, yearly, all their Mac software sucks." but Intuit has a habit of producing Mac software that sucks ass. How fucking long do they think licensees will take that crap? Especially, when coupled with Intuit's unresponsive/rude attitude toward their customer base? Perhaps, you just meant that Intuit's programmers are brain dead.

Christ, most Mac applications share, or at least can read/translate and/or produce file formats compatible with their Windows application software. It takes time. You mean Intuit's crippled/featureless/privacy invading software provides opportunity for a endless string of "for fee" updates/upgrades to eventually, presumably, obtain the common features of their Windows versions that have been available for years. Why doesn't Quicktime X have all the features of Quicktime 7? Same reason. If they didn't give a crap about it why did they just rewrite the entire thing in Cocoa? It's quite obvious why it doesn't include all the features 2007 had, because it's brand new. I would be interested in hearing from others who have moved from Quicken on the Mac to something else on the Mac. Sorry, I know enough about network security and the Internet to NOT want my financial data on somebody else's servers. I read an interview with the founder of who is heading up the development of Intuit's Mac products, he wants to push users towards their online services, go figure.

I've messed around with MyMoney, but without a decent import tool to bring over my Quicken data, none of the alternatives are appealing. Now I don't want to buy 2007, and can't use the new version. I'm still stuck on QFM 2006 because I put off buying the 2007 version, expecting the next version would be out "real soon now". I tried the beta, it looked pretty with cover flow, but the total lack of investment tracking is a deal breaker with me. QFL was supposed the be the successor to QFM 2007 but never made it out of beta. somehow I feel I will still be using 2007 for a few more years.įrom what I've read, they scrapped Quicken Financial Life about a year and a half ago. I am still waiting for a new version with more features.

I looked at other options such as Moneydance and iBank, but the longevity of these products concerns me: I have years (since early 90s) of data, and I don't want to migrate to a trial format. realize the old features are still there, but you have to access them a different way)ĭeep down, I feel I will end up demanding a refund. I figured I would give QEM a few weeks trial before I demanded a refund-sometimes you really have to work with a product to learn its features. I guess I am old school-I manually enter my transactions rather than blindly downloading them. I still bought it because the axed features are things I don't use. But, it certainly lacks some major features. In some ways, I really want to like this new version it has a lot of potential. Actually, I was just about to play around with QEM after checking out postings at DSLR.
