Christ, most Mac applications share, or at least can read/translate and/or produce file formats compatible with their Windows application software. It takes time. You mean Intuit's crippled/featureless/privacy invading software provides opportunity for a endless string of "for fee" updates/upgrades to eventually, presumably, obtain the common features of their Windows versions that have been available for years. Why doesn't Quicktime X have all the features of Quicktime 7? Same reason. If they didn't give a crap about it why did they just rewrite the entire thing in Cocoa? I tried the beta, it looked pretty with cover flow, but the total lack of investment tracking is a deal breaker with me. QFL was supposed the be the successor to QFM 2007 but never made it out of beta. somehow I feel I will still be using 2007 for a few more years.įrom what I've read, they scrapped Quicken Financial Life about a year and a half ago. I am still waiting for a new version with more features.

I looked at other options such as Moneydance and iBank, but the longevity of these products concerns me: I have years (since early 90s) of data, and I don't want to migrate to a trial format. realize the old features are still there, but you have to access them a different way)ĭeep down, I feel I will end up demanding a refund. I figured I would give QEM a few weeks trial before I demanded a refund-sometimes you really have to work with a product to learn its features. I guess I am old school-I manually enter my transactions rather than blindly downloading them. I still bought it because the axed features are things I don't use. But, it certainly lacks some major features. In some ways, I really want to like this new version it has a lot of potential. Actually, I was just about to play around with QEM after checking out postings at DSLR.
